Tucked away in Washington is a majestic region of rolling hills, stretching as far as the eye can see.  The Palouse area in southeast Washington State is a photographer’s dream. The area is depicted in the book The Most Beautiful Place in the World, Impressions of 10 Master Photographers edited by Jay Maisel, as the “Louvre of Farmlands.” The Palouse has also been the subject of a National Geographic Magazine cover story entitled “A Paradise Called the Palouse.”  Graphic landscapes, old barns and fences are just a few of the many photographic opportunities that await us in the area.  On some days we will venture far afield to locate the prime targets of our photography, including some Idaho area farms to the east and Palouse Falls to the west.

The Palouse region in southeastern Washington State is a virtual smorgasbord for the fan of graphic landscapes. We'll be photographing rolling farmlands, barns, country roads, patterns, shapes, and whatever else that captures our fancy. Spring is one of the best times to visit the Palouse, with freshly plowed fields and the brilliant greens and yellows of new growth. This is quintessential rural America; a great place to work on your compositional skills and capture images from a truly unique landscape.
