    Rod Barbee, a professional nature photographer and writer, is the co-author of two books: The Photographer=s Guide to the Oregon Coast and 88 Secrets to Wildlife Photography and is currently working on his third book.  He is a regular contributor to Outdoor Photographer magazine and has also been published in Nature’s Best magazine, Audubon and Mead calendars, Northwest Travel and Oregon Coast magazines, Orvis clothing catalog, the National Park Service, and more.  Several of his images appear in the Amphoto book “American Vision”. He is also a contributing editor to Naturephotographers.net, an online photography magazine.

    Rod lives near Port Ludlow on the Olympic peninsula with his wife Tracy and their dog Bailey, and is intimately familiar with the wonderful landscapes of the Northwest.

    Rod joined The Nature Workshops in 2006, but has been leading photo workshops and teaching photography classes for several years.  Rod has taught nature photography through Bellevue Community College in Washington state, The Mountaineers in Seattle, Olympic College in Bremerton, WA, The Great American Photography Weekend workshops, and Olympic Mountain School of Photography. A gifted field instructor, Rod likes nothing more than sharing his knowledge and ideas.
