Country Typical Workshop Schedule Fees and What Is Included Payment, Discounts, Cancellation, Refund Policies What to Bring Return to Schedule of Offerings Return to Roger Devore's Bio Page
Rolling hills, plunging gorges, limestone bluffs, diverse wildlife and villages reflecting the region’s western and Old World heritages highlight this trip around the Edwards Plateau of central Texas. The bluebonnets and Indian paintbrush, along with a multitude of other naturally blooming wildflowers, generally abound at some of the stops along the route, often resulting in impressive displays of color coordinated around historical settings. We will start west of Austin. We will explore the area concentrating on the fabulous wildflower blooms that are usually present. Lady Bird Johnson’s Center for Wildflower Research should also be in peak form in April. Our workshop goal will be to capture the spectacular Hill Country spring bloom and the timing is set to catch peak bloom. An extra day has been added to the workshop and we plan to spend time both east and west of Austin. The final itinerary will concentrate on the areas with the best winter rain and spring blooms. Roger has been leading workshops in the Texas hill country since 1999 and is familiar with the best places to find the best blooms.
